John Grant's second album Pale Green Ghosts is an album full of late night anthems, with strings, swearing and magic. It's part dancefloor and part singer / songwriter, and will be topping lists for years to come. Recorded in Iceland and featuring Sinead O'Connor on guest vocals, the brilliant "Pale Green Ghosts" adds sublime notes of dark, gleaming electronica to the anticipated velveteen ballads, calling on all of Grant's influences and tastes, presenting an artist at the peak of his powers. The album was Rough Trade's Album of the Year 2013.
