Happy Release Day Ezra Furman

Today at Bella Union we are celebrating the release of Ezra Furman’s beautiful, pioneering, thrilling, tremendous new album “Transangelic Exodus”, which is available now via Bella Union! Transangelic Exodus is a new landmark for the American singer-songwriter: “Not a concept record, but almost a novel, or a cluster of stories on a theme, a combination of fiction and a half-true memoir,” according to its author. “A personal companion for a paranoid road trip. A queer outlaw saga.”

Ezra is currently on tour across the UK and will continue across Europe and the US over Feb/March. He’ll then return to London in May for what is sure to be a very special show at O2 Academy Brixton.

Last week Ezra’s episode on the wildly popular Marc Maron WTF Podcast aired. It was an illuminating and wide ranging interview that discussed his musical influences, religion, sexuality and the themes of his new album Transangelic Exodus.
