Father John Misty shares remix with The Haxan Cloak
Father John Misty has collaborated with British musician and producer The Haxan Cloak for a remix of “Things It Would Have Been Helpful To Know Before the Revolution,” from his hit album Pure Comedy. The rework strips the song of its lush instrumentation, turning the track into an even darker, ambient drone.
The “Revolution” remix follows the gorgeous, stop-motion video directed by Chris Hopewell (Radiohead’s “Burn the Witch,” Run The Jewels’ “Don’t Get Captured”). The song‘s apocalyptic themes and subtle humour are captured brilliantly throughout. Click HERE to watch. The video was constructed and filmed in three weeks at Jacknife Studios in Bristol, UK. Additionally, the puppets in the “Revolution”video were recently auctioned off and the proceeds will be donated to the Environmental Defense Fund.
Father John Misty returns to the UK this weekend to headline the End Of The Road festival. He then returns in November for a 7–date tour which includes two Hammersmith Apollo performances. Upcoming UK live info below:
