Will Stratton shares ‘Some Ride’ animated video
Soon to head off on a UK tour with his labelmate Holly Macve, and with his new album Rosewood Almanac due for release 12th May on Bella Union, Will Stratton has today shared a charming animated video to the track “Some Ride”, directed by his friend Evan M. Cohen. Of the video Cohen says: “At what point should you stop moving and settle down? How do we know when to stop moving? Sometimes that decision can be made too soon, so you spend your time waiting for the right place to rest. Whether it’s daydreaming of better days or hoping for a brighter future, it’s the tiny moments lost in thought that keep us moving forward. For me, those times of reflection only happen once in a while and I have to remember to appreciate them, both good or bad. This video is about taking the time to be still during a lifetime of movement.” Will Stratton adds: “Evan and I live on opposite ends of Main Street here in Beacon, New York, and it’s been a pleasure being able to walk a couple miles across town to his apartment and see his work progress. And it helps that his visual sensibility and my musical one seem to dovetail with one another in a satisfying way.”
Rosewood Almanac will be released 12th May on Bella Union.
