The Beat Escape share “Half Empty Happiness”

Having released their debut single on 12″ vinyl last Friday via Bella Union, The Beat Escape – an electronic duo hailing from Montreal – have shared the singles B-side, the 80s imbued “Half Empty Happiness”. Premiered yesterday on Clash, the song sounds link Factory Records by way of John Maus. Of the track Clash said, “the chugging electronics feel as if they will collapse inwards at any moment, with The Beat Escape recalling early OMD, or even New Order’s first few studio sessions. Yet there’s also a hidden warmth, with the vocals tumbling over one another.” You can now listen to “Half Empty Happiness” below:
