BELLA UNION at The Independent Label Market
19th May at Spitalfields, London
This coming Saturday Bella Union will set up shop in Spitalfield’s Market, along with many brilliant independent labels, and we shall sell our wares. We took part in the market last year and had a blast, so we are thrilled to be returning… and we’ll be more prepared this time too.
Excitingly, we will be debuting a new Bella Union T-Shirt. Here is a photo of them sat in their box:
You will be able to buy them for the first time on Saturday!
We will also have lots of vinyl, some signed wares, some cds, some record store day releases and some of the last few Dirty Three Playbuttons.
So come visit our stall. We’ll shout some witty things at you too, like the fish people. GET YER VINYL, TWO A POUND GIVE ME £10 DO I SEE A £10, AHHH I SEE £10 GOING TO £11 FOR THE WOMAN IN THE HAT etc etc
Beach House – Bloom
Beach House’s ‘Bloom‘ is released today. Whilst we could reel off a list of superlatives about the music, the best advice we can give is to simply listen to the record itself. The album is still streaming over at The Independent and you can buy it on CD and vinyl from the Bella Union store.
Hear album opener ‘Myth’ below:
Beach House are on tour in the UK and Europe from next week, click here to see dates. The band return in the autumn to play Bella Union’s 15th anniversary takeover day at End of the Road festival and a headline show at London’s Roundhouse this November.
Listen to the fourth album from Beach House over at The Independent now, ahead of its release into the world next Monday 14th of May.
‘Bloom’ will be available to purchase on Monday 14th May. You can pick up your copy on CD or vinyl along with a limited edition t-shirt over at the Bella Union store.
In November 2011 Laura Veirs released ‘Tumble Bee‘, an album of children’s songs, new and old, inspired by the birth of her first child last summer.
Laura came to these shores earlier this year to play a handful of special shows including the V & A Museum of Childhood and now we are very happy to share with you the video for ‘King Kong Kitchie Kitchie Ki Me O’ animated by Britta Johnson.
Exciting times afoot for The Walkmen; with their much-anticipated new album Heaven due for release 4th June.
