Celebrating 40 years of bringing fans, artists and music together in shops across the country and now the globe, Rough Trade are making this landmark birthday about you. The champions of all that’s raw and innovative are presenting six extra special nights of collaborations and performances from the likes of John Grant and Wrangler, Scritti Politti and Hot Chip’s Alexis Taylor, The Raincoats collaborating with Angel Olsen and more.

Lauded recently by The Guardian for delivering a 5-star of his brutal but beautiful songs, former Czars singer John Grant will perform in collaboration with dystopian electronics trio Wrangler.

Also billed to collaborate are 1970s synthpop icons Scritti Politti and Hot Chip’s Alexis Taylor fresh from the release of his second solo album, Piano and The Pop Group, a Bristol band who interestingly pioneered the post-punk sound with punchy noisemakers Protomartyr.

Playing the Barbican Hall in Rough Trade’s honour, October 22nd will be a special one.

Presented by Eat Your Own Ears & Rough Trade.

This is an 18+ event.
